The Electricity and Energy Directorate is responsible for implementing the delivery of electricity and energy services within the jurisdiction area of the Municipality. These services mainly entail the distribution of electricity, public lighting and renewable energy initiatives. Increasing emphasis is placed on immediate and future consideration of green business initiatives and the commercial markets associated with electricity challenges, supply and demand sides, and cost structures.
